KHSAA regulation would prohibit middle school students who repeat a grade from playing | High School Sports | Kentucky.com
When we lived in Georgia, we knew a number of people that were holding their kids back in school for sports reasons - all thinking somehow that their prodigal sons were going to QB the ‘Dawgs some day due to being bigger, stronger, faster and showing up the kids a year less developed (but if everyone is held back, doesn’t that defeat the strategy’s purpose? anyways…). Every state needs this rule in place, IMO.
20 years ago Kim and I saw Forrest Gump - great movie. Kim cried a lot. I mean, a whole hell of a lot. Yea, I got misty. But I didn’t gush.
14 years ago. Demetrius was born.
11 years ago (approximately), the boy was diagnosed with autism.
Now, I watch Forrest Gump differently. I do cry (still not as much as Kim). Funny, it gives me lots of hope for my boy. I cry…happily, maybe? Dunno.
Happy 20th anniversary Forrest Gump. Thank you Mr. Hanks. Thank you Mr. Zemeckis…for giving me a movie that gives me a bit a hope when I need it.
Run Forrest, Run. While we Swim Super D, Swim!
